Start with a set of plans that you like and make changes as needed. Mark them up in red. You can use a colored pencil. Make the changes you think you need or want in the home.
Let the plans sit for a day or so then look at them again and see if you notice anything different. You will be surprised at how different the plans look after a day or so of not looking at them

It cost less to make changes in the design stage than it does after the home has been started.
Decide on your plan and stick with it.
