Before you can hang a single sheet of drywall, you have to pass your “Seconds” (rough-in) inspections. The inspector is going to look at everything hidden inside the walls: fire-blocking, nail plates protecting electrical lines, plumbing vents, and structural framing modifications.
Failing this inspection stalls your schedule and frustrates your subs.
  • What is your routine for a self-inspection? Do you walk through with a camera to document every pipe and wire before the walls are closed? (Pro tip: You absolutely should!)
  • What specific code requirement is tripping you up right now? (e.g., clearance rules, fire-stopping materials, framing notches?)
Ask your rough-in inspection questions here so we can catch the errors before the inspector does!

Thanks
Steve
